Using JELQ Method to Enlarge

Now let's introduce the Arabic JELQ milking method which is one of the most important practices in the manual. Here we focus on introducing the principle of the method and practice methods. This method should be practiced daily to ensure that the penis maintain the largest cell capacity. Keep doing the exercise for three-month, you will see the result. Six weeks latter, many people including myself have been 1-inch length of growth.

flecktarn pants

Before your practice you should seize your penis head and gently pull out. And then you should circle the direction of rotation of your penis. After a few minutes circling, make sure that you have to heat packaged ready. Then use the packaging method for preheating we have introduced to you before.

FLECK

JELQ milking method is made up these steps. First, you should gently massage the penis to maintain the blood in the penis. Use your thumb and forefinger to seize the penile shaft (bottom). Use your index finger and thumb hold together as an OK sign. Only in this way your penis will be firmly grasped and caught in the middle. With your thumb together index finger, you should squeeze your penis slowly sliding forward, forcing blood to the penis forward. Milking every time you move forward, blood in the penis will be forced to become greater. Use one hand to move forwards of the glans and the other milk the root of the penis. Each exercise should last for one second. After practice, your penis should have the right size which is different from the before. Of course, it will be bigger.

When you started your JELQ milking method, most people will suffer small red fleck in the glans, do not worry, this is completely normal, about a week later, the phenomenon will disappear. Do the practice 15 minutes a day after the warm up and do 300 milking exercises. You should grab your penis from the roots slide into the glans every time. And the exercise should maintain at least one second. At the same time you should do 100 PC practice. After one week, a new cycle in the penis and the intensity will be established.

During the 2nd week, you should increase the intensity of exercise to complete a 10-minute JELQ practice. On the other hand, you should do 200 PC practices. The practice should not stop unless you feel the pain is not normal.

During the 3rd third week, practice will be extended to 30 minutes. Do not try to cut the 10 minutes of preheating; it's very important for the whole practice. Once you start, be sure to finish it!

Water Softeners - Save Hundreds of Dollars With an Easy to Install Device

Reducing the calcium or magnesium ion concentration in hard water is not rocket science and can be easily achieved by installing a water softener. This gets rid of lots of the problems associated with hard water and at the same time reduces energy costs of heating water with pipes full of limescale. So in short, a water softener device can be a great idea to add to your home.

water softener salt potassium

There are some major issues that hard water causes. Firstly, the calcium and magnesium react with soaps and sensitive detergents, hindering their ability to lather and forming the ugly precipitate that will all know as limescale buildup. Presence of these minerals also inhibits the cleaning effect of detergent formulations.

WATER SOFTENER

Not only this, calcium and magnesium carbonates tend to stick to the surfaces of pipes and heat exchanger surfaces. The scale build-up resulting from this can restrict water flow in pipes. In boilers, the build-up acts as thermal insulation that impedes the flow of heat into the water. This not only reduces heating efficiency, but allows the metal to overheat which, in a pressurized system, can lead to failure.

The presence certain minerals in water can also lead to galvanic corrosion, in which one metal will preferentially corrode when in contact with another type of metal. The use of water softeners can actually aggravate this and cause the heating elements in hot water heaters to corrode more quickly.

Early water-softening devices intended for household use depended on an ion-exchange resin in which "hardness" ions trade places with the sodium that is found in the water softening device. Water softeners are typically used when water is supplied from wells, and I receive correspondence from people all the time asking for help with hard water stains that their water has caused. Public water systems are also susceptible to hard water, although this is much less common.

There are various other ways of treating hard water including water filters, electromagnetic water conditioners and reverse osmosis. In the next article in this series we will look at the pros and cons of several of the available methods to treat water containing high levels of calcium and magnesium which are the cause of hard water stains forming on fixtures and fittings around the home.

The Creatures of Harry Potter

There are many interesting creatures in Harry Potter series. In each of the new books there appear few new creatures which strike immense curiosity in the reader. What many of us don't realize is that these creatures have a rich history of Mythology as well as Folkfore. Some of them like Werewolf, Griffon, Troll and Vampire are well known whereas some others are not.

fleck water softener

By mythological accounts a Hippogriff (a cross between a Griffon and a Horse) as a creature should not have existed. Griffon by itself is a lion and has eagle's wings and one of its favorite food happens to be horse. There was a phrase which used to say" I'll be able to do it whenever Griffons and Horses mate" which actually would mean "sometime never". It was not until a poem "Orlando Furioso" which was written by Ariosto. In this poem Atlantis rides on a Hippogriff. In middle ages this beast gained immense popularity and since then has been on scene with other mythological creatures.

FLECK WATER SOFTENER

Basilisk also plays a very important part in mythology. This is a serpent which is held responsible for the deserts in Middle East. Actually it is a small snake with lots of venom and whose throat never touches the ground. Everything which was related to this snake was full of poison, maybe its glance, saliva or bit, even the smell of Basilisk would mean instant death. The Basilisk's venom would rotten the fruits on Earth and would poison waters, which is the reason for people believing that it was the reason for deserts. The head of Basilisk had a crest which meant that he was infact king among all the snakes. Its name Basilisk came from a Greek word Basileus which means a King. Its skin had white strips and few spots. It had a piercing cry which was capable of causing death and possessed a fiery breath.

It is a fact that without Fairies there is no Fantasy which can be said to be complete and same holds true for Harry Potter. Many different fairies appear in the entire series. Most notorious one is Boggart. This creature haunts North England homes. Another Fairy is Brownie, which is in a habit to interact with human beings though Borrgart is in a habit to play pranks and indulge in mischief. It's exact opposite is Dobby who is a house elf. Dobbies are also brownie, though they prefer to assist people in their homes in any way they can though they are not very intelligent.

Old Firm Cup Fall Out: Celtic Vs Rangers Foot Brawl

Wednesday 2 March 2011

fleck water softener

Celtic Park, Glasgow

FLECK

There's no such thing as an uneventful Old Firm match. This much is true, but this latest meeting - the fifth of the season, with another two still to come - had more drama than even the most avid thrill-seeker could imagine. This game had everything.

The two preceding Old Firm fixtures [a 3-0 league win for Celtic on 20 February at Celtic Park and a 2-2 cup fixture on 6 February at Ibrox] leading up to this one had been marked by bad fouls, bad tempers, and bad blood, all of which stemmed from the signing, by Rangers, of El-Hadji Diouf, on loan, from Blackburn Rovers. Diouf is a Celtic hate-figure because of a dreadful incident in 2003 when Diouf, then a Liverpool player, spat at Celtic fans at a Uefa Cup tie at Celtic Park.

Quite why Rangers felt Diouf would be a sensible signing escapes your writer and almost everybody else with even a passing interest in Scottish football. It clearly riled the Celtic management and players because from the moment Diouf took the pitch for his Rangers debut in the original cup tie back in February, he was targeted for the "wind-up" - aka verbal abuse - from the Celtic players, but most notably from Scott Brown, a player not many rivals would want, in their face.

More of the same followed in the league game, with Rangers giving as good as they got, but at least matters in those games were confined to the pitch.

But then, it's a free-for-all in this the third game between the sides in quick succession and the fifth of the season so far.

Tempers were strained from kick-off. The tackles were flying in late and reckless. The verbals were all over the pitch and all over the technical areas - player to player, manager to manager, player to manager, manager to player. The whole 90 minutes was like that. There were even barging and scuffling as the players and management teams went down the tunnel at half-time.

The referee, Calum Murray, was the busiest man on the pitch, booking 3 Celtic players... Majstorovic (33mins), Brown (42), and Wilson (90+1) and 7 Rangers players...Whittaker (28), Diouf (37), Fleck (44), Bougherra (57), Davis (76), Davis (76), and Hutton (90+5) plus ordering 3 of those off for a second yellow card... Whittaker (36), Bougherra (90+4), and Diouf (post match).

It was at the final whistle that this controversial game upped its own ante. As Neil Lennon made his way to shake hands with Rangers assistant manager Ally McCoist, something was said and Lennon's smile turned to a snarl in the space of 2 seconds. We have since discovered that McCoist had decided to "advise" Lennon that there better not be any further instances of Lennon or his players subjecting the Rangers players, particularly Diouf, to further "extreme verbal abuse". Lennon, not surprisingly took exception to this "advice" and pointed out to McCoist that if Rangers hadn't signed Diouf in the first place", then none of this would be happening.

So strongly were McCoist and Lennon making their points that they had to be physically restrained and separated by officials, players, assistants, and police.

Needless to say, a dim view of the proceedings has been taken by the Police and the Scottish Government, with the Chief Constable of Strathclyde Police publicly calling for an abandonment of the fixture altogether while the First Minister has called for a summit between the two clubs, the police and government ministers.

As if that's not been enough fun, we've got the Scottish League Cup Final at Hampden Park on Sunday, 20 March 2011. Not much time to heal the rifts.

Scott Brown and El-Hadji Diouf are a long way from being pals and that feud looks sweet to continue for a while yet. Neil Lennon is in the papers saying he and Ally McCoist have settled their differences, but we're not hearing much from McCoist on the subject.

Heady stuff.

The Right Water Softener Parts to Ease Purification

Living in areas that have only hard water, like in deserts, requires one to have water softening, or purifying units to make washing, bathing, and drinking a pleasant experience. This purification is not possible without the water softener parts. Although installing such a unit could be as easy as following the instructions in the reader's manual, it is also necessary to involve someone with some knowledge in plumbing, and water supply. This could save you from encountering problems in the future.

water softener shower head

After locating the right place where you are to install the unit, it is good to check for the main closing point of the water supply. Another requirement is the instruction manual, plus the right tools to do the actual work. If you have a problem comprehending the instructions, then inviting someone with the basic knowledge is necessary.

WATER SOFTENER

The water softener parts that make water purification easy are included below.

• Salt mixture is necessary to soften hard water. Sodium chloride and potassium chloride salts are available. Experts recommend the use of potassium chloride salt, but its important to use the only type of salt recommended by your machine manufacturers.

• Brine tank is the part of the machine that feeds salt into the tank that holds hard water. You are required to clean this tank often to keep off dirt from getting into the soft water.

• The softener resin bed is necessary. During the process of softening hard water, the salt that is used has to undergo the filtration process to collect soft water. The salt residue collects at this resin bed thus; it is necessary to clean it up from time to time.

• The machines are fitted with two pipes for delivering hard water into the machine, and the other one for delivering soft water from the machine into our houses.

• Mineral tank has a meter and timer, which are essential for checking the ion level. The control valves are also necessary for regulating the flow of water.

Having a good water softener unit allows you to enjoy clean drinking water and enhances good health. It is essential then to ensure that you put all the water softener parts in place and to maintain them well. This helps to make sure that the machine is able to function for a long time while you are still enjoying soft water. Replacing this brilliant machine could be very expensive so why not reduce the cost by simple maintenance.

It is of great importance to invite an expert to check your softener unit regularly. Some parts of the machine need a person with the right kind of knowledge to replace them. Purchasing the water softener parts is easy as one can place an order directly online. You do not have to worry anymore as it's possible to have access to clean and soft water. Even when the water table at the place of residence can only produce what you dread the most, 'hard water' the water softener machines can ease the problem.

Considering the fact that water covers over 2/3rd of the Earth's surface, it doesn't hit anyone as a surprise that a number of impurities find their way into it, one of the more common of the lot are Calcium and Magnesium ions. An increased concentration of these ions renders water incapable of forming froth and increases deposition in appliances that use such water, and we call such water, Hard Water.

water softener reviews

Even though health issues aren't directly caused due to this water, a number of problems can occur in the domestic scenario where non formation of froth can cause washing machines and dish washers to waste water and also reduce in efficiency. It also causes damage to plumbing and the appliances themselves. Besides the obvious cosmetic damage at taps and faucets, it causes a build-up on the inside surface of pipes, thereby forcing machines to work harder, thereby consuming more electricity and shortening their life span. In terms of health problems, since rinsing with hard water is tougher than with soft water, shampoo and soap particles may remain on the skin and in the hair of the user.

The Energy Star & EPA certified Whirlpool Water Softeners are one of the most recommended water softening devices for home usage. Considering the fact that one of the implication of softening water is to cut energy costs, it makes absolute sense to have water softeners to be Energy Star certified. Since these systems are simple to install following the instruction kit, they don't require the service of professional installations. Also, Whirlpool offers various models to suit a variety of needs and deployment making them a brilliant choice for the same.

The models differ in the grain capacity and hence the size of the family it can accommodate; the grain capacity is basically the max number of grains which can be removed without requiring regeneration. Almost all models have Demand Initiated Regeneration with Salt Saving technology; this saves water, salt and energy. Moving up on the model-line, advanced features such as low salt indicators, iron removing settings, salt storage tank light, Sediment guard, as well as touch screen options make their way into the features list, along with increasing the grain count of the machine.

By using Whirlpool water softeners, one can extend the life of appliances, reduce water heating costs, reduce spotting on dishes and glassware, reduce the amount of detergent and soap required for cleaning, and make skin feel less dry and far smoother.

Water Softener Alternatives - Protect Our Environment

According to the United State Geological Survey, 89.3% of the United States is affected by hard water.

water softener

There is no doubt that water hardness is a nuisance. Its presence costs industry and consumers billions of dollars annually in cleaning expenses and maintenance. The labor and chemicals required to solve hard water problems and then the eventual replacement costs of equipment is astronomical.

WATER SOFTENER

Virtually any equipment you have that comes in contact with hard water is costing you money. Water heaters, dishwashers, sinks, toilets, shower heads, aerators, steam tables & ovens, ice machines, swimming pools and laundry equipment, towels, bed sheets, etc. are all affected by hard water. Water taste is bad; the buildings pipe system will need replacement. Expenses in maintaining a cooling tower, boiler or chiller are often your costliest equipment to maintain - all because of hard water.

The U.S. Department of Energy reports that just a ¼" of scale deposits will increase your energy bill by 40%.

The primary energy savings from solving hard water problems result from a decrease in energy consumption in heating and cooling applications. Scale reduces the thermal efficiency of heating systems by increasing the time it takes to achieve the required temperature. These saving are associated with the removal of scale formation.

Lime scale deposits can cause serious problems by restricting the water flow in your pipes and reduce thermal efficiency.

How Does a Water Softener Work?

All traditional water softeners use the same operating principle: They exchange calcium and magnesium ions with twice as much sodium ions. The process is called ion exchange and can be labeled as "ancient" or outdated technology. They are very expensive to purchase and maintain; require a lot of salt to operate. A water softener also requires a lot more water to regenerate. Water softeners pollute our precious environment and can be harmful to people on salt restricted diets.

With only 2.5% of the Earths water considered "fresh", it is important we do not add any more chlorides into the water stream, decreasing the amount of available fresh water on our planet.

The real question is; how do you solve hard water problems without the impact on our environment?

One way may be through an electronic precipitator. An electronic precipitator is an alternative to a water softener that utilized a scientifically developed signal charge from a coil wrapped around the pipe entering the home. This inaudible sonic wave hits the resonant frequency of the calcium molecules - changing their electrical and physical properties - so they no longer adhere to pipe walls or fixtures that come in contact with water.

A water softener alternative like ScaleBlaster offers all the same benefits of a water softener;

• Softer, silkier feeling water on skin, hair and clothes
• Soap and detergent can be cut back by 25% or more
• Brighter, whiter and longer lasting clothes, towels & sheets
• Reduces mold, mildew and corrosion due to hard water

but with the benefits of;

• No maintenance ever required
• Never adding salt or chemicals
• Or changing any filters

Bottom line is a water softener has a negative impact on the environment. They add sodium (chlorides) to waste water which then becomes a contaminant causing a major recycling problem for municipal water departments. Many areas, including Santa Clarita, CA, are banning their use or enacting regulations to limit use or regulate how the waste water is released.

A water softener alternative like an electronic precipitator is an ideal "green" product for all residential, commercial, and industrial application. An electronic precipitator like ScaleBlaster does not use salt and will save you as much as 20% in energy, water and sewer bills while at the same time helping our environment stay "green".

10 Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Water Softeners

1. What are the different types of water treatment systems?

water softener prices

There are three types of water present in your home. Raw water is brought in from the city, county, or a well. Raw water is typically used for watering your lawn and is untreated. Working water is the water treated by your water treatment system, and is used for bathing, washing, and cleaning. Finally, the third type of water present in your home is drinking water. Drinking water treatment systems such as reverse osmosis are available to better the quality of the water you drink.

WATER SOFTENER

2. What does a water softener do?

Hard water has large deposits of calcium and magnesium, and once it evaporates it leaves a white film on sink fixtures and showers that can often be difficult to clean. A water softener eliminates these mineral deposits with the following steps. First, the water travels into the resin bed where the resin beads bind to calcium and magnesium molecules. The resin bed will eventually become saturated, calling for the use of salt. Contrary to common belief, salt is not directly added to the water. Instead, it is used to clean the resin bed, and only a small amount of sodium actually is added to your water with the removal of calcium and magnesium.

3. What are the benefits of a water softener?

Benefits are evident to both your body and your home with the use of soft water. Your skin will feel softer and free of any scum or residue left by soaps, and your hair will have more shine and luster. Any skin irritations or issues will be improved with the use of soft water as well. No scale will be visible in your ice cube tray, water heater, plumbing pipes, or bathroom fixtures. The life of your fixtures and water heater will be vastly improved. Soft water will also advance the quality of your drinking water.

4. What is the difference between an electrical water softener and a mechanical water softener?

Electrical water softeners are often found at your local home improvement stores. They require a power source nearby and are run on a timer on top of the resin bed. Like an alarm clock, the timer tells the unit when to regenerate. Mechanical systems, like a Kinetico, only work when you are using water, increasing its efficiency. Other chemical free units exist, and there are countless options available.

5. How do I know if I have hard water?

Hard water causes scale to form on the inside of plumbing, water heaters, toilet bowls, sink fixtures, shower heads, shower doors, and even your skin, just to name a few. It is visible in the form of white film on your fixtures and shower. If you have a sprayer or shower head, flip it over and check the openings. If the holes are filled, hard water could be impeding you from getting the best results from your fixtures. Hard water can also stick to skin and clothing.

6. What is involved in getting my water tested?

Water is tested directly at the source, your kitchen sink for city and county water, or directly at the well pump. The test will include checking for hardness as well as chlorine levels and TDS (total dissolved solids). With well water, sulfide, sediment, and tannin tests could also be performed. Representatives may show you a soap test, in which they will demonstrate the different reactions of soap between hard and soft treated water. Tests will last about 30-45 minutes.

7. Does size or capacity matter when choosing a water softener?

When buying electrical systems with one tank of resin, take capacity into account. It is important to remember how much water your home uses and the amount of water pressure necessary. With mechanical units, capacity does not matter. They have an infinite reserve of soft and treated water. Size depends on how much water pressure your family needs.

8. What are the operating costs of a water softener?

Salt and water are the main operating costs of a water treatment system. The unit will need both salt and water to regenerate and clean the resin bed. With an electrical machine, the average salt per day is one pound per person. Thus, for a family of two people, about 60 pounds of salt per month will be necessary. Electrical units also use between 45 and 100 gallons of water every time it cleans, which could amount to over 1,000 gallons per month depending on how often you have it set for. Non-electrical units are much more efficient, using about 7 pounds of salt per person per month, and approximately 7 gallons of water each time it cleans. Keep in mind that carbon beds and systems treating well water may require more maintenance.

9. Where is the softener installed?

Contrary to common belief, you do not always have to put your water softener in your garage. Check with your homeowner's association to be sure. Electrical units will need to be installed in the garage because it provides a power source for the system. Mechanical units, however, can be installed completely outdoor, as they do not have any power source requirements or corrosive parts.

10. How long will the unit take to install?

Install should not take more than 2-3 hours. If installing an electrical unit, be sure your power source is available and working. Mechanical machines usually have a shorter install period than electrical machines.

Why Custom Fitted Golf Clubs?

There is a major distinction between custom clubs and custom fitted clubs... Custom clubs are those clubs purchased at a golf store and then having adjustments made to the clubs such as length adjustment (shorter or longer), added wraps to the grip and different shafts being inserted as to the original shafts.

fleck 7000

Custom Fitted clubs are those clubs made to an individuals' specific needs determined during a fitting session with a qualified club fitter.

FLECK

Take a walk up and down the driving range, and a few things immediately are observable:

Not All Golfers Talk the Same

Not All Golfers Swing the Same

Not All Golfers Dress the Same
Fact: In today's market there are NO major golf companies manufacturing precision fit, precision manufactured sets of golf clubs that have been precisely tuned to the individual's swing! Only when you can put the same swing on every golf club, can you compete at the highest level and achieve results truly commensurate with your ability.

Probably the best example of this commitment to precision tuned and precision manufacturing, was when the great Ben Hogan invited Jack Fleck to the Hogan factory in Fort Worth to be fitted for a set of precision Hogan golf clubs. The difference to Jack Fleck's game resulted in his winning of the 1955 US Open over none other than Ben Hogan himself in a playoff.

"Science is entering golf and the game can only benefit from this... optimizing the performance for specific individuals is expected to be a result of the introduction of science." Frank Thomas, former Technical Director of the United States Golf Association.

Manufacturers spend a great deal of money extolling the virtues of their latest equipment, but it is doubtful you will play your best golf with Tiger's clubs or even those of Greg Norman...unless, of course, you too have a 30 inch waist, do 1,500 sit-ups before breakfast every day and routinely drive the ball 300 yards. Getting the correct clubs is as important to your golf game as getting the right prescription for your eyeglasses or having your suit tailored.

Today all tour players are precisely fitted and most equipped with precision golf sets. On the other hand, the majority of the general golf public is stuck with off the shelf, mass-produced, inferior sets of clubs that do not match their swings.

Just getting "custom fit" without doing it the correct way may actually do more harm than good if the recommendations condemn you to a poor set-up, posture, or swing fault. For example, changing to a hooked face driver to combat a slice swing or poor set-up may temporarily help your driver, but it could end up as a crutch that can make it difficult to hit your other woods and irons.

The purpose of a good fitting system is to eliminate expensive trial and error, guesswork, and to cut through the smoke and mirrors often associated with the selection and purchase of golf equipment.

To be sure, distance is a tremendous opiate and almost everyone wants to hit the ball further. But distance alone, at the expense of accuracy and consistency, can be a hollow victory. Taking it deep isn't much value if you're meeting the neighbors along the fairways.

Another benefit of using a professional club fitter is that you would just like to make sure prior to purchasing that new driver that it will actually benefit your game, and that you are getting the right model, loft, and shaft combination. .

A professional golf-fitting program is a 5-step process.

Player Profile - The individual being fitted will fill out a questionnaire providing the club fitter with information about their attitudes toward their equipment, their health, their game, and their goals. The golfer also provides the club fitter with valuable information about his/her wants and needs.

Present Equipment Evaluation - Club fitters look at 10 elements of the irons and 11 of the woods. Knowing the characteristics of the individual's present equipment will help the club fitter see if the individual has adapted his/her swing to some deficiency in their present clubs.

Swing Evaluation - The individual's swing will be analyzed on a swing-analyzing computer. This computer measures back and forward swing speeds, swing path, face angle, and weight shift.

Recommendations - Professional golf club fitters will make specific recommendations of equipment needs or necessary alterations based on the individual's fitting results and the goals they wish to accomplish. A truly professional club fitter is not affiliated with any particular manufacturer nor do they utilize knock-off components, thus their recommendations are both unbiased and sure to fit your interests and budget.

Equipment built or altered - Equipment will then be built or altered to the recommended specifications. The individual can have either their equipment altered, choose another brand or have the club fitter build a set of clubs. Most professional club fitters do offer their own brand of components and they stand behind their products. These clubs are built to the exact specifications provided by the club fitting.
GUARANTEES

The majority of professional golf club fitters are so confident the individuals will be happy with their clubs, that they usually offer an exclusive guarantee in which they will re-adjust the clubs, rebuild the clubs or give the individual their money back. A club fitter's primary mission is to produce a set of clubs that will enhance the player's performance.

Amongst the numerous systems I've experienced first hand, by far the most accurate and most sophisticated professional club fitter is Max Out Golf owned by former US Amateur Champion and current Senior Tour T.V. commentator, Mitch Voges.

Operating from fixed base performance labs located in Woodland Hills, California, they feature ultra high-speed cameras, lasers, and strain gauges to capture the physics of your swing. Although the 1 ½ hour fitting session has the feel of taking your game to NASA, the process is as enlightening as it is practical and easy to understand. Simply put, regardless of your level of skill or expertise, you will be fitted for the right equipment, as well as gain the knowledge and application techniques to play better golf.

Mitch Voges is very clear and concise in explaining that most golfers seeking additional distance should become more familiar in the understanding of their specific swing fundamentals, and that most players are playing with shafts that are too stiff and frequently too long. They should be playing with the longest and lightest club they can control.

Perhaps the least understood distance theory is that to gain the maximum distance you need to match your ball speed (not club head speed) with your launch angle and spin rate. In a broad sense, the key to distance is a high launch angle with low spin rate. The Max Out analysis equipment will even advise you which ball is the best for your game!

Max Out Golf is not affiliated with any particular manufacturer. They do have their own brand of clubs that may be purchased but are never forced on to the golfer being tested.

Their proprietary Integrated Golf Measurement System (IGMS) compiles such factors as: launch angle, initial ball velocity, club head speed, spin rates (including side spin), and shaft load profiles. Sophisticated computer analysis and subsequent performance testing identifies the optimum shaft (including length, gram weight, bend profile, and tip stiffness), club head type (including center of gravity), loft, launch angle, and ball selection for any player. Since golf clubs don't come with instructions, it is significant that Max Out Golf incorporates well-known and respected PGA instructors to both fit and explain the diagnostic process, as well as make corrective recommendations that can be instantly verified.

The cost for the personalized fitting session is 5.00. Any adjustments and alterations made to your clubs are usually at standard industry pricing. (http://www.maxoutgolf.com)

So remember that custom fitted clubs is the way to go to improve your game. Do not get caught up with those club manufacturers offering "Golf Fitting Carts" found on ranges and country clubs. This is a band-aid. Most major metropolises have professionally trained club fitters. A club fitter has the advantage of working one-on-one with the player through all steps of the fitting process. Fitted clubs cost about the same price as off the shelf clubs, therefore, it would be well worth one's time and effort.

LED - Will Light Emitting Diodes Replace All Other Lighting Types?

LED Lights as a Sustainable Solution to Replaces Incandescent Lights.

fleck water softener

LED Light Emitting Diode have improved enough to transition from being a source of ambient lights to a replacement for incandescent and other traditional forms of lighting. Not too long ago I wrote in the technical answers to questions on my website for solar outdoor lights that: "Solar LED lights were great for outdoor use but are not close to replacing incandescent bulbs for inside lighting." Well my recent reading and research have proven me incorrect.

FLECK WATER

As with many facts in life today: new developments have changed the outlook on the use of LED. LED Light Emitting Diode have improved enough to transition from being a sources of ambient lights to a replacement for incandescent and other traditional forms of lighting. There are now LED light bulbs, LED Fluorescent replacement bulbs, LED flashlights, LED security lights, LED traffic lights, LED under cabinet lights, LED lighting for commercial Applications, LED Task light, LED headlights, intelligent LED that help cut costs in warehouses and industrial buildings, vending machines, food freezers, retail lighting and solar LED light.

Energy Star recently stated that LED reduce energy usage by 75% and last more than 5 times longer than incandescent and 2 times longer then fluorescent lighting. It is because of the reduced energy usage that the use of solar to power LED light outside as the required solar plates are small and can be set directly on the solar light fixture.

The LED lighting revolution and setting the stage for incandescent light bulbs to become obsolete. Led lights offer a energy efficient environmentally friendly (by reducing carbon emissions) lighting solution.Currently the City of Des Moines is retrofitting city street lights and parking lot lights with LED to save energy costs. Initial cost is higher than standard bulb replacement. Yet the final savings in energy use and extended life of LED bulbs are significant up to 50% of the yearly budget for these lights. These savings are estimated to provide a pay back in three years.

Another city is the process of utilizing solar LED lights on 9'-0" poles for to light up the main street for security. The old lantern style light is a decorative element that enhances the character of the main street.

A 9 volt LED light can replace a 70W incandescent, or a 5 volt LED replace a 45 Watt incandescent in a recessed ceiling can light,14to 25 volt LED can replace 100 watt Halogen security lights.
US Department of Energy report on LED: states that widespread use of LED over the next 20 years can save 120 billion dollars in electricity at today's rates or the equivalent to 24 new power plants and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 246 million metric tons of carbon. That's a big savings figure for lighting which is only 7 % of the electrical use of businesses and homes.

Actual results as to whether LED replace incandescent depends on factors such as consumer acceptance, and potential new technology development that competes with LED's advantages over the incandescent light bulb.

It is now a reality LED Light Emitting Diode have improved enough to transition from being a sources of ambient lights to a replacement for incandescent and other traditional forms of lighting. There are now LED light bulbs sold at Big Box Retailers. LED lights are great source of light and a great sustanaible product due to it's low voltage and no/low heat production. Go sustainable with LED lighting. Think solar LED for your yard and outdoor security and decorative lighting.

Choosing the Best Water Softener - Important Comparison Factors

It is important to make a thorough comparison when searching for the best water softener. And to do so, you need to have a very meticulous set of criteria. This will help you find the best unit that will meet your needs efficiently so you can make a good investment. To land the best unit in the market, your criteria should include these important factors.

water softener resin

Grains capacity. The grains capacity of a water softener is definitely the most important factor since it directly affects the softening process that the softener can manage. You have to compare this with the hardness level of your water supply. Hardness levels can be determined by some test kits if your city water supplier cannot provide you with the details. This is measured in the amount of grains per gallon. You have to choose a softener that can handle the hardness level of your water.

WATER SOFTENER

Brand. Next, you have to consider the brand of your softener. There are several reliable brands in the market that you can count on for effectiveness, efficiency, and durability. These brands include Kenmore, Pelican, Culligan, Calgon, and Kinetico, among many others.

Type. You also have to decide what kind of model to buy. The different kinds include demand-initiated regeneration softeners, automatic softeners, and manual softeners. Demand-initiated regeneration water softeners can start the regeneration process by itself based on the level of water consumption. Automatic softeners regenerate automatically based on a timer you have to set. Manual softeners require you to control the entire regeneration process.

Price. Naturally, the price is one important comparison factor in choosing the best one. You have to consider your own budget but you have to be prepared for an investment if you want a good quality model.

Durability. Durability is often intertwined with the brand of your softener. What's important is you look for one that is made of durable material and can last you a long time.

Efficiency. You should also look for a model that's efficient to use. Water softener efficiency should be efficient based on the use of salt, water, and energy. There are some models that do not use salt, such as the Pelican NaturSoft series, and you should also go for a one that does not waste water through backwashing. Finally, look for models that are Energy Star qualified.

Performance guarantee. It is also important to consider the performance guarantee that comes with your water softener. The performance guarantee includes warranty and any other guarantee such as money-back guarantees for your water softener.

Reviews and ratings. Some good measures of the overall quality of softeners are reviews and ratings. Reviews can give you objective information about water softeners and ratings can help you compare different types with one another quickly. Take time to read reviews and check out ratings in choosing a unit to find out more about actual customer feedback and satisfaction ratings.

Choosing the Best Water Softener - Important Comparison Factors

WATER SOFTENER

Do You Really Need a Water Softener?

Anybody that has grown up with and become accustomed to soft water in their home will most likely never choose to go without it. However, is it really necessary to have a water softener? Absolutely necessary? No. A great idea? Definitely. And here's why:

water softener prices

Hard water contains a significant amount of dissolved minerals in it. That may not seem like anything worth giving much thought to. In reality though, these minerals can be the culprits of many common issues and problems with everything ranging from the cleanliness of your bathroom to the look and feel of your clothing to your bad hair days. After adding a water softener to your home, you'll immediately be able to notice how scum no longer builds up on your shower curtain, how much softer your clothing feels, how much cleaner your dishes look, how soft and silky your hair becomes, and how smooth your skin is.

WATER SOFTENER

Although purchasing a water conditioner might be sometimes an investment, it is an investment that will more than pay for itself over time. With soft water, it only takes a fraction of the soap, detergent, and cleaning products as it does with hard water. In the long run, the money you'll save on various household products will far outweigh the money it takes to purchase a water softener.

Living with hard water is definitely not anything life-threatening, but adding a water softener to your home will make that life cleaner, softer, and shinier - and will be well worth every penny.

Painted Wall Murals For Your Home Or Business by Muralist Artist David James Fleck

Even though murals in all different techniques and sizes, painted on the ceilings of the caves and walls and windows of buildings, have been around since prehistoric times, the painted wall murals are just as popular today as they were ever before.

fleck 7000

They bring an outdoor feeling inside, make dark rooms brighter, waiting rooms at the doctor's offices calming, murals make nurseries cheerful and private bars exciting. Wall murals can turn the most dull wall in the house into an image of breathtaking view or living room into a fairy garden. Any image that the muralist artist can picture in his or her imagination, can be transformed onto a permanent surface indoors or out.

FLECK

Muralist David James Fleck has made his living as an advertising artist, cartoonist, illustrator, actor, voice over artist and comedian. But the one endeavor that continues to stand out throughout his career - and he is most famous for - are his painted wall murals.

Dave Fleck's art was chosen to brighten up Kim Basinger's nursery and later featured on Oprah's show. He painted all four walls of little boys' room with dinosaurs, a prominent older client's private bar with riding cowboys, yet another client's living space was turned into a fairy land and one baby's room seems like a blissful oasis in the middle of the sunflower field.

Still other David Fleck's painted wall murals fans chose an African plain or a jungle, fairy tale characters or super heroes, a window view, scenery, airplanes or a sleeping lion.

All of Dave's painted wall murals are customized to the taste and budget of the clients that range from the youngest, not yet born, to the oldest private clients, from businesses and restaurants to resorts and hotels.

Understanding Deep Tissue Injury

A deep tissue injury (DTI) is commonly mistaken for a stage 1 pressure ulcer or a bruise. This is a serious error and can have a profound impact on patient outcomes, liability, and reimbursement.

flecktarn vest

What is a deep tissue injury (DTI)?

FLECK

Deeper, full-thickness damage to underlying tissue which may appear as purple areas or dark necrotic tissue should not be confused with Stage 1 pressure ulcers. The National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel has defined wounds such as these as;

A pressure-related injury to subcutaneous tissue under intact skin. Initially, these lesions have the appearance of a deep bruise (NPUAP, 2002).

DTI's require rapid identification, as they may quickly progress to Stage 3 and 4 pressure ulcers despite aggressive and optimal treatment.

How do DTI's form?

Fleck (2007) explains that DTI's form over areas of bony prominence and occur from the inside out. Superficial damage is not seen until later, when tissue undergoes necrosis, reaching the outer layer of skin and resulting in the formation of an external wound. She further stresses that DTI's can be differentiated from Stage 1 ulcers by their rapid deterioration despite proper care.

What are the legal implications of DTI's?

DTI's that are not recognized for what they are can have legal implications due to their ability to deteriorate despite stringent wound management practices. They result in increased costs and hospitalization, not to mention pain and suffering for the patient who develops one of these wounds, putting the health care practitioner and the facility at risk for litigation.

Salcido (2008) discusses the current Medicare changes that are scheduled to take effect October 1, 2008. These changes will have a huge impact on how hospitals are reimbursed. In regards to wound care, pressure ulcers will be considered hospital acquired (and therefore not reimbursed) unless these wounds are documented within 48 hours of admission. The onus is now on us, as healthcare professionals, to ensure that these wounds never develop, and if they do, they should be well documented and aggressively treated. This new policy is forcing us to examine our wound care management practices.

Documentation of DTI's

Wounds that are suspected as being a DTI should be afforded a full description and the word -DTI- should be mentioned. For those practitioners who work in long-term care with the Minimum Data Set (MDS) documentation system, the word -unstageable- should be used to describe those wounds that are suspicious for DTI. Thorough and ongoing documentation is crucial in respect to DTI's, as their rapid deterioration may make these wounds particularly tempting targets for litigation.

Education is the key to recognition and management of DTI's

Understanding the etiology of DTI's and learning how to differentiate these wounds from bruises, hematomas, and other closed wounds that may have a similar appearance is the key to prevention and treatment of these wounds, which have the potential for significant morbidity for patients, as well as being potentially litigious.

Salt-Free Water Softeners

Your salt-based water softener can dump up to 500 pounds of salt into the environment each year, so salt-free free solutions to this environmental problem seem like a good idea. Salt is also damaging to some metals like galvanized pipe and the last thing most people want or need is a major repair on their water supply system. Because of the minimal negative effect on the environment, salt-free water softening systems are at least worth doing some research on before spending your hard earned money.

Types of Salt-Free Water Softeners

WATER SOFTENER

Electric water softeners are said, by their manufacturers, to send an electric pulse through the water that prevents scaling. There is no real claim that it will remove dissolved metals that cause hard water, just that it will reduce scale buildup. Magnetic water softeners are mostly claimed to reduce scale buildup in your pipes. Just wrap a couple of magnets at about 0 each around your pipes and some distributors claim that your plants will thrive better, some diseases will be prevented, and, oh yeah, it will soften your water, too. Well not really soften your water because it doesn't remove any dissolved metals, but make your water feel softer and act softer. Sorry, but the scientific support for these claims cannot always be replicated when discovered by one scientist and the actual studies are somewhat ambiguous and even anecdotal in nature. Electro-magnetic water softeners are just a magnet with an electrical current added. Sort of like combining the two just above. Not surprisingly, these devices are not claimed by most distributors to actually soften your water. Like the other two approaches, this type also only minimizes scale buildup in your plumbing. But the U.S. government has some positive things to say about the potential of this type of system. Catalytic Media systems use a filter media type that chemically alters and/or traps hard water compounds. Ceramic filter types are similar to what backpackers have been using for years and are usually effective to the size of cryptosporidium which is a nasty paramecium that is found in streams where there is also wildlife around. One ceramic filter system insists it is a durable, long-life system because the filter's catalyst is a non-sacrificial type. One could argue that since the introduction of a true catalyst in chemical reactions is for the purpose of enhancing a reaction, how could this really be a catalyst? Or if it is, then what is the chemistry behind the non-sacrificial reaction? Suffice it to say that a ceramic filter of high quality will have a long life but will need some cleaning maintenance and its filtration ability will be limited to its pore size. The ceramic filter's ability to filter viral material might be a major feature for some people. Reverse Osmosis is a non-salt based system that was first developed for the purpose of desalinization of sea water to become pure drinking water. It has considerable limitations, but is easier on the environment than salt-based water softener systems. Reverse osmosis has been a proven solution to providing high quality pure drinking water for about 40 years.

The uniform composed of a pair of trousers and a securely fitting short jacket Blouse composed of khaki-coloured woollen cloth. The Royal Air Force wore the blue battledress and Royal Navy wore the navy blue one. British camouflage uniforms were once hand-painted by some specialists.

German military surplus clothing. The Germans hold on to their form of field grey for uniforms which have litzen - collar braid stripes. Some uniforms have high collared tunics that go with stiefelhosen - riding breeches and marchstiefel - jackboots. West Germany makes use of uniforms with splinter - a 4 color uniform pattern or a fleck tarn - a style with dots and blotches. East Germany has the four-color Flächentarnmuster pattern sometimes called splotch and the Strichmuster pattern - a dense straight line pattern.

Russian military surplus clothing have uniforms that have stylish shoulder pieces or decoration used as insignia of rank called epaulettes. High boots and long greatcoats with collar patches that have gone back to Czarist days are also sold in here. Although several regiments dressed in distinctive and colourful attire, the imperial Russian army fought most of the time in white or dark green colors introduced by Peter the Great in the early 1700s. Later on, the duller colors such as khaki were adopted in the late 1908.

Science of Sound

HOW SOUND TRAVELS: A sound is made when something vibrates and makes particles in the air next to it vibrate. The air particles pass the vibration from one to another. You can describe a sound by showing it on a graph. The shape is called a sound wave. Different sounds have different shaped sound waves. The number of times a sound wave vibrates each second is called frequency. A high note has a high frequency.

fleck 5600 sxt

SOUND WAVES: The look of a sound wave varies according to what is making the sound. These sound waves are all produced by different instruments.

FLECK

ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENTS: A lot of bands use electronic instruments, such as drum machines and keyboards. These sorts of instruments use a computer chip to store and reproduce sound waves.

STORING SOUND: A chip doesn't store the sound itself: it stores numbers which describe a sound wave. The numbers indicate the height of the wave measured at regular intervals.

DRUM MACHINES: Drum machines are electronic devices that store pre-set sounds made by percussion instruments, such as cymbals, drums or maracas. You choose a sound and then play a rhythm by tapping on pads. You can also record a rhythm and play it back, so you can play another instrument alongside the rhythm. Rhythms can also be made faster or slower. Most drum machines have pre-set rhythms. These can be useful if you don't want to make up your own.

PLAYING WITH SOUNDS: A keyboard is designed to store the sound waves produced by musical instruments, but it can also reproduce other sounds, such as a bird tweeting. This is done using a machine called a sampler. Some keyboards have sampled sounds. Once the sound has been stored, you can play tunes with it. You can even alter the sound by reversing it or making it echo. You can have great fun experimenting with sounds which have been stored on a keyboard. Imagine playing Jingle Bells with a bell chiming for each note!

Only a Dog Lover Could Really Love "Best in Show" - A Mockumentary

Best in Show - 2 Stars (Average)

flecktarn bdu

Director Christopher Guest teamed with Eugene Levy as writers for "Best in Show" that looks at the funnier side of the legendary Westminster Kennel Club's annual competition, otherwise known as a prestigious dog show.

FLECK

Premiere voted the result as one of "The 50 Greatest Comedies of All Time" in 2006. Premiere, an American and New York City-based film magazine, was published from 1987 to 2007 before becoming an online-only publication.

Best in Show uses a camera crew to follow the foibles and fortunes of the owners (and handlers) of five show dogs headed for the annual Mayflower Kennel Club Dog Show in Philadelphia.

Traveling from Florida is Cookie Fleck (Catherine O'Hara) and Gerry Fleck (played by film writer Eugene Levy). Gerry literally has two left feet and Cookie apparently bedded hundreds of men on her way to marrying Gerry.

She meets many of her former lovers in the film, aggravating her bumpkin husband to no end. Cookie was "hot" and apparently very available.

Coming from North Carolina is Harlan Pepper (played by director and writer Christopher Guest, the real-life husband of Jamie Lee Curtis, a marriage that has lasted since 1984). Pepper owns a fly-fishing shop and is enamored with his Bloodhound "Hubert".

Shari Cabot (Jennifer Coolidge) is a voluptuous, wealthy blond bimbo and gold-digger married to Leslie Cabot (Patrick Cranshaw). Shari owns Rhapsody in White, a perfectly manicured poodle who is the two-time defending Best in Show champion.

Her husband Leslie says not a word in the film, appears dead, embalmed and strapped to a wheelchair. Shari is not only enamored with her poodle but also with her handler Christy Cummings (Jane Lynch). Christy and Shari are in more heat than any masculine, healthy dog could muster.

Coming from who knows where with their entry are Stefan Vanderhoof (Michael McKean) and Scott Donlan (John Michael Higgins), an outgoing, outrageous, stereotypical gay couple.

These four entrants are joined by Meg Swan (Parker Posey) and Hamilton Swan (Michael Hitchcock). The Swans are anything but graceful, quiet and beautiful to be around.

They are DINKs (double income, no kids) who constantly scream at each other throughout the film, raising their invective to an art form. Meg and Hamilton are so up tight it is a wonder they can even relieve themselves at appropriate times.

Despite being a comedy, the behavior of the Swans in Best of Show is so well done and lifelike that their tirade ceases to be funny and becomes disturbing. Neither Posey or Hitchcock received an acting award for their performances, but I could not fault them for their effort.

Two more notable performances in this film come from Buck Laughlin (Fred Willard) as the "color commentator" at the prestigious competition, and from Mark Schaefer (Ed Begley, Jr., almost my namesake) as manager of the Taft Hotel that put up with the dog show owners in Philly.

Fred Willard's commentary in this film lives on; it is used occasionally by sports talk radio hosts Groz and Gas as a humor segment on the most popular sports talk station in the country, KJR 950 in Seattle.

Despite its rating as one of The 50 Greatest Comedies of All Time by Premiere magazine, Best in Show comes up short on the awards end. It earned a Golden Globe nomination as Best Comedy and a few lesser awards.

Best in Show earned only million at the box office, perhaps because of its slow start. It opened the 1st week at only 13 theaters nationally, moved to 53 theaters its 2nd week, 291 its 3rd week and finally broke though with 497 theaters its 4th week, topping million before dying off after 12 weeks.

Best in Show is referred to as a "mockumentary", a word that does not appear in The New Oxford American Dictionary (my personal word bible). One might call Best in Show a parody of a documentary with humor as the centerpiece. It is good for some laughs.

Variations of the K1P1 Knitting Stitch Pattern

For this article, here is an important definition: if the next stitch has a purl bump snuggled up right below the needle, then we say that it looks like a Purl; otherwise, we say that it looks like a Knit. And yes, the stitch that looks like a Purl on this side was really Knitted on the previous row, and vice versa.

flecktarn pants

K1P1 ribbing is one of the basic knitting stitch patterns learned by a beginner knitter. It is worked by alternating the sequence of (Knit 1 stitch, Purl 1 stitch), generally until you run out of stitches.

FLECK

The easiest stitch pattern is a 1-row repeat:

Cast on an even number of stitches.
Row 1: *K1. P1. Rep from * to end.

The nicest feature of K1P1 ribbing is that it is one of the examples of Knitting the Knit stitches and Purling the Purl stitches as they face you. This means that if the next stitch looks like a Purl, then you must Purl the stitch. But if the next stitch looks like a Knit, then you must Knit the stitch.

With that information in hand, now it is time to investigate some options.

Moss Stitch: The first variation is to shift the Knits and Purls by one stitch with each new row. You still alternate Knit and Purl stitches across the row, but if the next stitch looks like a Knit stitch, you PURL it, and if the next stitch looks like a Purl stitch, then you KNIT it. The purl bumps pop out from the Vees of the knit stitches, giving great texture. A Moss Stitch swatch is much wider than a K1P1 Ribbing swatch. The easiest stitch pattern is a 1-row repeat:

Cast on an odd number of stitches.
Row 1: K1. *P1. K1. Rep from * to end.

Double Moss Stitch: This option consists of two rows of ordinary K1P1 ribbing, and then two more rows with the ribs moved over one stitch. The knitted fabric has wonderful texture. Its pattern has a 4-row repeat:

Cast on an even number of stitches:
Row 1: * K1. P1. Rep from * across.
Row 2: Rep Row 1.
Row 3: * P1. K1. Rep from * across.
Row 4: Rep Row 2.

Fleck Stitch: This variation is much simpler than those mentioned above, because you have to deal with switching the yarn between front and back on only one row out of four. The fabric consists of 3 rows of Stocking Stitch (K 1 row and P 1 row) and one row of K1P1 ribbing. The purl bumps from the K1P1 row provide a nice little bit of texture against the smooth background of Stocking Stitch. The pattern has a 4-row repeat:

Cast on an even number of stitches
Row 1 (RS): Knit.
Row 2: Purl.
Row 3: Knit.
Row 4: * K1. P1. Rep from * across.

Conclusion

For a pattern stitch as simple as repeating (K1.P1.) across the row, there are a lot of variations. And this article didn't even consider what happens when you do it with multiple colors!

Try these variations, and see how you like the texture that results.

What is a Water Softener?

It seems a little strange that water is soft or hard. However, these are two recognized types of water. A water softener is a machine that removes certain elements from hard water, thus softening it and making it a little better to use.

water softener salt potassium

Hard water is water that has high amounts of calcium and magnesium. These elements can create stains on sinks and in tubs. It can also damage hair and leave skin feeling dried out and itchy. Not only can hard water be inconvenient in small ways, the buildup as a result of the calcium and magnesium deposits can actually clog pipes. A water softener can reduce the problems associated with hard water.

WATER SOFTENER

A water softener removes the calcium and magnesium from water. Some water softeners also remove iron. The water softener is a machine that, when connected to the water supply, actually "softens" hard water. Most water softeners require an amount of salt for their proper functioning. Because elements are removed from the water, they build up in the softener rather than pipes. This means that the water softener requires regular maintenance.

There are different sizes and types of water softeners. The more water used by a household, the bigger the water softener needs to be. There are also three different types of water softener: manual, semi-automatic and automatic. The automatic merely requires regular maintenance. The other two types require a more active role in the removal of calcium and magnesium from the household water supply.

While soft water is great for washing and bathing, hard water is more pleasant to the taste. As a result, many people find that it is nice to have one faucet in the home that provides hard water for drinking and cooking.

A water softener decreases the overall need for strenuous pipe maintenance due to buildup. It can also provide a more pleasant way to use water to bathe, as well as preserve the quality of clothes washed in a washing machine.

What is a Water Softener?

WATER SOFTENER

Water Softeners - 3 Critical Things to Consider Before Buying a Water Softener

When considering which water softener to purchase there are some important factors to consider including some significant health issues. This is because water softeners actually use sodium to alter the water. As we all know, sodium is a major cause of increased blood pressure and other serious health problems.

water softener reviews

Sodium is an essential mineral because it's necessary for fluid and electrolyte balance in your body. However, consuming too much salt (also known as sodium chloride) may lead to high blood pressure, a condition called hypertension.

WATER SOFTENER

How Do Water Softeners Work:

Water softeners or whole house water treatment systems use a process called ion exchange to remove minerals from a water supply before it enters the home. This involves passing the water through a tank filled with resin beads that are coated with ions of either sodium or potassium chloride.

In simple terms, the sodium or potassium ions in the water softener swap places with the calcium or magnesium ions (which are the hard minerals that cause hard water stains and limescale) in a domestic water supply.

What To Consider Before Purchase:

o Firstly, sodium chloride is usually less expensive than potassium chloride although the latter is better for the environment. This is because the system has to have the brine solution discharged to recharge the ions on the resin beads.

o If the potassium solution is discharged it has less impact on the environment and can actually be put on lawns as potassium is a key plant nutrient!

o Contrary to a common misconception, using sodium salt in your water softener will not adversely affect your plumbing. Most modern plumbing is made of PVC plastic and is not affected by increased levels of either sodium or potassium chloride. Sodium salt can, however, reduce the amount of maintenance required for your brine tank.

o For those concerned about the health issues of how much sodium is put into the water by a water softener, the answer is, it all depends. The harder your water supply the more sodium ions are needed to soften it. That said, studies indicate that even water softened with sodium chloride has a low concentration of sodium.

o The costs of water softeners are usually far outweighed by the benefits and cost savings obtained, through using softened water.

Your local health department can tell you the sodium and other mineral content of your community's water supply.

Options if Your Tap Water is High in Sodium:

o Consider switching to another type of water-purification system.

o Buy demineralized water for drinking and cooking.

Whole House Water Filter Vs Water Softener

The type of water treatment system you purchase will depend on what type of issue(s) you need to address. There isn't one system for all needs. Certain conditions will require the need for a filter and others for a softener. In some instances you may want to do both. This article will briefly explain what the different functions of each unit are. This should help you determine which system will be most beneficial to you.

Whole House Water Filters

WATER SOFTENER

Whole house filters are made for city water and well water. Both types of filters remove sediment (larger particles of dirt and rust). City water filters use carbon to remove chlorine and other chemicals. Well water filters may also still employ carbon as a means of filtration, but many times use a media designed to remove minerals. Some are designed to address both issues. Aside from a water softener, the most effective means of removing hard water minerals is a scale inhibitor, which is designed for use in conjunction with a whole house water filter.

Installation Requirements

Most systems are required to be installed by a licensed plumber in order to maintain the validity of the warranty. Also, certain areas require whole house systems be installed by a licensed plumber, as well. If the manufacturer doesn't require a licensed plumber, you'll need to check with your city to see what is required.

Maintenance Requirements

The filters need to be changed periodically.

Water Softeners

A traditional water softener uses an ion-exchange resin to remove hard water minerals. This resin attracts hard water minerals (calcium and magnesium) and "exchanges" them with sodium. This process will completely remove hard water minerals, and it is the most reliable means of doing so. If you have hard water issues, your best option is a water softener. This is the only advantage a water softener has over a whole house water filter.

Installation Requirements

Water softeners are much more difficult to install than whole house filters, and most people don't have the tools or means to properly install one. As is the case with whole house filters, most systems are required to be installed by a licensed plumber in order to maintain the validity of the warranty. Also, certain areas require water softeners be installed by a licensed plumber, as well. If the manufacturer doesn't require a licensed plumber, you'll need to check with your city to see what is required if you would like to install the system yourself.

Maintenance Requirements

All that is required is filling up the brine tank with salt.

Tips and Tricks for Starting Your Own Cleaning Business

Not everyone is enthusiastic about cleaning, but everyone likes it when their surroundings are tidy and sanitary. As a result, there will always be work opportunities for individuals that either enjoy cleaning, or are particularly meticulous and efficient at the task. If you find yourself in a camp with the latter group, then you may be a good candidate for starting your own cleaning business.

fleck 7000

If you have decided that owning a cleaning business interests you, you first have to identify what aspect of cleaning you excel at, and are interested in pursuing for business purposes. For instance, the two broadest categories in which a commercial business can specialize include residential cleaning, such as housekeeping services, carpet cleaners and window washers, who go to individual homes and generally work on a contract basis with their homeowner clients, and commercial cleaning, which could include janitorial-type work, and may require special equipment and additional training. Once you have identified the area of cleaning that interests you, you will have a clearer vision of how to reach out to potential clients, and how to hire the appropriate and most qualified staff.

FLECK

You will also need to identify whether you are interested in starting your own business from scratch, or whether you are interested in buying a commercial cleaning franchise. Both options have advantages and disadvantages. The former gives you, as the business owner, the most freedom; you could choose to work from home, you can determine how many employees to hire, you can offer specific hours, and you could conceivably remain small scale and work on a very localized level. The challenge will come in staying ahead of your competition, and establishing your business as the most reliable source for the specific services you offer.

Owning a commercial cleaning franchise requires some capital. It involves purchasing a cleaning business that already has an established name and multiple locations. You would be the owner and operator of your specific store or office location, and would be subject to the rules and standards put forth by your namesake organization. Advantages to this option include the fact that you will not have to work to be recognized, since your name will already be known in the larger cleaning community.

Can I Paint Bathroom Tile?

I was recently looking for information on the internet, to see if it was possible to paint bathroom tile. There certainly are quite a few contradictory opinions on this subject, depending on which website you are looking at.

fleck water softener

Some people insist that you can't paint tile in areas that get a lot of moisture. However, my conclusion after considerable research is that if the surface to be painted is properly prepared, and the type of paint used is carefully chosen, it is even possible to paint bathroom tile in a shower stall.

FLECK

Before I go into the conflicting advice given on various websites, let me point out that I was looking for DIY methods. Professional painters have the resources and skills to do a much better job of painting bathroom tile than most of us.

I ran across an excellent video put out by a California painting contractor. They did the job using a spray painter, and the person doing the job was wearing all-body protective gear. This is not equipment that most of us have on hand. In this article, I will stick to methods that use equipment that is readily available to the do-it-yourselfer.

To paint bathroom tile, there are three main steps:

1) Prepare the surface. The tile surface must first be cleaned. Painting over dirt, grease, or mold is definitely not recommended. Various cleaners can be used - from muriatic acid ( best leave this to the pros ) to household ammonia to TSP ( trisodium phosphate ). Probably any of these solutions will do the job, if used as recommended.

The next part of the preparation is very controversial. Should the tile surface be sanded or not? Proponents of sanding argue that tiles have a shiny surface, and without sanding, the paint will easily peel right off. And the tiny scratches that sanding leaves on the surface are not noticeable after the paint is applied. The naysayers don't agree that the scratches are hidden, and suggest using a primer that is made to adhere to any surface.

2) Apply a primer. The choice here is between oil-based and acrylic paints. Professional painters are adamant in their opinion, but they don't agree with one another. Some recommend 100% acrylic paint, but others just as strongly advocate an oil-base primer. This disagreement among the pros leads me to believe that either choice is probably workable, as long as the surface has been properly prepared.

3) Apply the topcoat. Here again, there is considerable disagreement on the choice of paint with which to paint bathroom tile. Some say that any gloss or semigloss paint may be used if the foundation was properly prepared. And there is a school of thought that advocates epoxy paint, which is naturally waterproof. However, the proper mixing of the two-part epoxy is not a simple task.

A final, additional step to paint bathroom tile is often mentioned. After waiting several days for the topcoat to thoroughly dry, you can seal the paint with a thin layer of transparent polyurethane. This sounds like an excellent idea.

Use A Water Softener And Improve Your Water Quality!

The most common water problem can clog of your pipes, cause malfunctions of your washing machine. It also makes you use larger portions of washing powder and soap.

water softener

What we're talking about here is hard water.

WATER SOFTENER

So what is hard water to begin with? Hard water is caused by dissolved mineral traces of primarily calcium and magnesium in the water.

The level of hardness can vary greatly from location to location. If for example you live in an area where the groundwater is taken from wells where the water have been moving through deposits of limestone you will have very high levels of hardness in your water. If your water on the other hand comes from lakes with low ph levels then you will have a low hardness level in your water and you will have little water problems.

It is relative easy to measure the water hardness with a test sample. It is important to do this as the buildup of clogged piped can happen even if you are not aware of it.

Water softener equipments are an often used solution to lower hardness of the water as it will limit or completely eliminate any damage.

The most common form of water softener for home users is based on ion exchange.

It works on the following principle. The calcium and magnesium ions are replaced by sodium ions. This ion exchange is made in a resin bed.

The construction of the water softener is made in three parts. Resin Tank - This contains the resin bed.

Resin Bed - This is made up of tiny bead-like material often made of styrene and divinylbenzene. The beads attract and hold positively charged ions such as sodium, but will exchange them whenever the bead encounters another positively-charged ion such as calcium or magnesium.

Brine Tank - This tank contains a dissolved solution which is necessary in order to regenerate the resin. This regeneration is for the reversing of the ion exchange, which otherwise would become depleted. The calcium and magnesium ions are removed off from the resin beads and replaced with positively charged sodium ions. The regeneration happens when the resin beads are washed by a strong salt water solution. The calcium and magnesium ions are forced by the salt to be released, and are then discharged as waste in the backwashing cycle. The beads are now once again ready to be used to lower the hardness of your water.

Modern water softeners are fully automated. Some of them are regenerated at a preset clock. Other systems use electric sensors and are regenerated when the beads are becoming less effective.

Because the calcium and magnesium are replaced by sodium some consumers are concerned by the additional intake of salt in the drinking water. However this additional salt intake from drinking the tapped water is so small that the adverse affect is minimal compared from salt intake gained from ordinary diet.

Yoga Inversion Swing - First Week Workout

I am a 61 year old woman that has barely exercised in the past decade, but wants to lose weight, reshape my entire body quickly and get healthy - mind, body and spirit. I wish to help others to duplicate my success.

flecktarn parka

I have chosen power walking short distances before each meal to get my metabolism working again (suggestion from my son which I have now proven to actually work) three times per day, Yoga Inversion along with good nutrition. I have found that I will do all three of these things on my journey. I do these on a daily basis and I actually look forward to doing them. I have found that the key to success is to find the things that will work for you and to do those things on a consistent basis.

FLECK

I have bought machines that all sit around collecting dust and taking up space. What do all these machines have in common? They only do a few things. They may say they work the entire body, but do they do inversion? No, they do not. Even regular Yoga does not do gravity free inversion. Headstands are not the same as non-gravity inversion. Yoga Inversion has no gravity, so therefore you are hanging upside down, pulling your vertebrae apart. And believe me, everyone will find the need to invert at some point in their lives, unless they have a health problem which prevents them from doing so.

Yoga Inversion exercises are done knowing no boundaries. You will use and move muscles in a way that you would never have moved or used them before.

You don't need a lot of things, just a few things that will work and will do the work of all those machines that don't do inversion, don't work and you no longer use.

Here is my story of starting Yoga Inversion, which does all of the work of all the other machines and you don't have to move a lot to get the results!

After putting my inversion stand together and hanging my swing, I began to get acquainted to my Yoga Swing.

This is my actual first time experience:

- I stood in the ring of my round yoga swing stand and opened up the swing and laid down in the swing facing down.

- I opened up the padded swing so that it was close to my hip joint and the top section just under my chest.

- I bent at the waist and put my hands on the carpeted floor below me.

- With my legs together I brought them up a little higher than my hips, feeling the pull in my back, abs and hips.

- I began duplicating the action slowly raising and lowering my legs up and down for a few times until I felt I had worked my back, hip and ab muscles sufficiently.

- I got on my knees and with the swing chair behind me, I wrapped my arms around the swing so that I was hanging from my underarms.

- At the same time I spread my legs apart doing a semi split with my legs touching partly on the floor. This gave me a very good stretch through my thighs.

- After I felt the stretch for a while, I sat on the swing, spread my legs apart, keeping my feet close together, bent backwards, wrapped my legs around the sides of the swing and went into a complete inversion.

This inversion felt very similar to the traction I used to get at the Chiropractors office, only better. When getting traction lying down on a board, they use weights that they crank to put weight on the belt for your hips, but the weights would keep slipping. This cut down on the pull significantly. When you are using your weight instead of physical weights upside down, there is a big difference.

- Next, I opened my ankles, held onto the sides of the swing and dropped my legs down out of the inversion.

- I laid down on the floor and put a small pillow under my neck. I then put both legs over the swing, pulling my body slightly off the floor. I put both arms down beside my body to steady myself. I twisted myself from side to side to work my waist.

- White still lying down, I then took both leg holders in each hand and pulled myself up, working my abs and my arms which were holding my weight.

After that, I was sweating significantly. I laid back on the floor and rested a couple of minutes before getting up. This completed my fifteen minute first workout on my new Yoga Inversion Swing.

This is my personal experience starting to use my Yoga Inversion Swing the first week. Your experience could be different, depending on what exercises you feel comfortable doing to start out with.

I do this before taking my bath and going to bed. It relaxes me and and helps me de-stress from my day so I can sleep well at night. I did this routine all week and will change it as I get stronger and learn more exercises to experiment with on my swing. Look for my second week workout instruction on my new Yoga Inversion Swing coming soon.

I hope this article which is telling you of my first week on my Yoga Inversion Swing was helpful in your journey to good health. Shortly, I will post a picture of myself on my Yoga Inversion Swing. I will also post my starting weight and measurements. Throughout the weeks and months ahead you will actually see and read about the progress I am making and you will realize how you can duplicate the results for yourself!
