Yoga Inversion Swing - First Week Workout

I am a 61 year old woman that has barely exercised in the past decade, but wants to lose weight, reshape my entire body quickly and get healthy - mind, body and spirit. I wish to help others to duplicate my success.

I have chosen power walking short distances before each meal to get my metabolism working again (suggestion from my son which I have now proven to actually work) three times per day, Yoga Inversion along with good nutrition. I have found that I will do all three of these things on my journey. I do these on a daily basis and I actually look forward to doing them. I have found that the key to success is to find the things that will work for you and to do those things on a consistent basis.

FLECK

I have bought machines that all sit around collecting dust and taking up space. What do all these machines have in common? They only do a few things. They may say they work the entire body, but do they do inversion? No, they do not. Even regular Yoga does not do gravity free inversion. Headstands are not the same as non-gravity inversion. Yoga Inversion has no gravity, so therefore you are hanging upside down, pulling your vertebrae apart. And believe me, everyone will find the need to invert at some point in their lives, unless they have a health problem which prevents them from doing so.

Yoga Inversion exercises are done knowing no boundaries. You will use and move muscles in a way that you would never have moved or used them before.

You don't need a lot of things, just a few things that will work and will do the work of all those machines that don't do inversion, don't work and you no longer use.

Here is my story of starting Yoga Inversion, which does all of the work of all the other machines and you don't have to move a lot to get the results!

After putting my inversion stand together and hanging my swing, I began to get acquainted to my Yoga Swing.

This is my actual first time experience:

- I stood in the ring of my round yoga swing stand and opened up the swing and laid down in the swing facing down.

- I opened up the padded swing so that it was close to my hip joint and the top section just under my chest.

- I bent at the waist and put my hands on the carpeted floor below me.

- With my legs together I brought them up a little higher than my hips, feeling the pull in my back, abs and hips.

- I began duplicating the action slowly raising and lowering my legs up and down for a few times until I felt I had worked my back, hip and ab muscles sufficiently.

- I got on my knees and with the swing chair behind me, I wrapped my arms around the swing so that I was hanging from my underarms.

- At the same time I spread my legs apart doing a semi split with my legs touching partly on the floor. This gave me a very good stretch through my thighs.

- After I felt the stretch for a while, I sat on the swing, spread my legs apart, keeping my feet close together, bent backwards, wrapped my legs around the sides of the swing and went into a complete inversion.

This inversion felt very similar to the traction I used to get at the Chiropractors office, only better. When getting traction lying down on a board, they use weights that they crank to put weight on the belt for your hips, but the weights would keep slipping. This cut down on the pull significantly. When you are using your weight instead of physical weights upside down, there is a big difference.

- Next, I opened my ankles, held onto the sides of the swing and dropped my legs down out of the inversion.

- I laid down on the floor and put a small pillow under my neck. I then put both legs over the swing, pulling my body slightly off the floor. I put both arms down beside my body to steady myself. I twisted myself from side to side to work my waist.

- White still lying down, I then took both leg holders in each hand and pulled myself up, working my abs and my arms which were holding my weight.

After that, I was sweating significantly. I laid back on the floor and rested a couple of minutes before getting up. This completed my fifteen minute first workout on my new Yoga Inversion Swing.

This is my personal experience starting to use my Yoga Inversion Swing the first week. Your experience could be different, depending on what exercises you feel comfortable doing to start out with.

I do this before taking my bath and going to bed. It relaxes me and and helps me de-stress from my day so I can sleep well at night. I did this routine all week and will change it as I get stronger and learn more exercises to experiment with on my swing. Look for my second week workout instruction on my new Yoga Inversion Swing coming soon.

I hope this article which is telling you of my first week on my Yoga Inversion Swing was helpful in your journey to good health. Shortly, I will post a picture of myself on my Yoga Inversion Swing. I will also post my starting weight and measurements. Throughout the weeks and months ahead you will actually see and read about the progress I am making and you will realize how you can duplicate the results for yourself!

Yoga Inversion - How to Set Up Yoga Inversion Stand and Swing

Yoga Inversion - How to set up Yoga Inversion Stand and Swing -

Before ordering your Yoga Inversion Stand, you should have first measured your ceiling to make sure it is high enough for the Yoga Inversion Stand. Since the stand is exactly 93" tall, you should have at least 94 1/2 " to be able to put the stand together standing up. If your ceiling is 94 1/2 " tall, you should have no trouble with the height.

FLECK

My ceiling is exactly 93" tall in the main part of my house. I didn't want to cut a hole in my ceiling because it is plastered, so I put my Yoga Inversion Stand in my basement. After I took out a ceiling tile in the basement, it measured 94 1/2 inches from top to bottom. It was the perfect height for the stand.

If you have ceiling tile in your basement, you may need to take out a ceiling tile and some of the parts that the ceiling tile was attached to, not the actual stud. This will give you the added room you will need to maneuver the last poles into the stand.

Caution: Do not put the stand together lying on its side. You will not have enough room to bring the whole stand back up to clear the ceiling. The entire stand will be assembled standing up. Also, if you have 8 ft. ceilings in your home, and you don't have plaster, just drywall, you may want to cut a small hole in the ceiling to bring the stand up to put it down into the last row of poles. You can always easily patch it afterwards. If you rent, ask permission before and patch it when you move out.

After you have received your new stand, take everything out of the box and clear the room you will be putting your stand in -

- Take all plastic sheathing off the poles

- Take all end protectors off the poles (put inside the box the stand came in and set aside)

- Set aside all like parts together on the floor

- Set aside all the more curved sections together on the floor (this, along with the 3 T's will provide the circular base for the stand)

- Put together the base first by linking two curved pole sections together, then a T, etc. until the base is a complete circle

- Assemble a vertical curved pole into each T, (3 altogether) making sure you put the right end in so that the steel buttons will pop out of the holes to lock in correctly and it will be curved inward correctly to form the base of the standing part of the Yoga Inversion Stand

- Lock in the second level of 3 poles around the stand making sure they are curving inward like a tripod and they are locking in properly

- Take the top triplex in your hand and lock in one of the last three pole sections, making sure it is curving inward

- Lay the triplex and the one pole attached to it on the floor (the poles should all be curved as shown ( )

- Attach the last two poles to the triplex top curved as shown in previous step

- Pick up the triplex with the three poles attached and locked in and place it at the top of ceiling

- With one hand grip one of the second layer poles which is attached to the first layer of poles that are attached to the round base for the stand

- Lock it in making sure the steel buttons pop out of the holes

- Grip the second pole and maneuver it in and lock it into place

- Lastly, grip the third pole and maneuver it in and lock it into place

Note: You may need someone strong to help you with linking in the last two poles into the triplex

Your entire Yoga Inversion Stand should be standing, completely assembled and ready to attach your Yoga Inversion Swing. If you purchased the trapeze with your stand, you will simply attach it to the loop at the top of the stand. After that you will attach your outer part of your swing to the outer sides and the actual swing, the part you will sit and hang from in the center.

This Yoga Inversion Stand has a built in safety mechanism in the top triplex.

This is my very own experience and instructions that I have created on how to easily and safely assemble and set up this Yoga Inversion Swing in your own home. I have written these instructions to help make your experience as easy and successful as possible.

Yoga Inversion Swing - Steps on How to Get Started

Yoga Inversion Swing - Steps on How to Get Started

TO BE SUCCESSFUL - ALWAYS: Check with your doctor before starting any exercise routine! Then, if O.K. -

FLECK

- Have someone take a picture of you before you start using the Yoga Inversion Swing.

- Write down the date you start exercising.

- Weigh yourself.

- Measure your waist, chest, arms, thighs, and hips and write down the measurements on a sheet of paper.

- Keep the paper somewhere safe and close to your Yoga Inversion Swing.

- Write down the problems you are having, i.e., back problems, neck problems, large thighs, trouble sleeping, stressed out, etc.

- Write down when these problems start to lessen or go away.

- After one month, weigh and measure yourself again and every month thereafter.

- Take a new picture once a month. Seeing is believing, keep up the good work!

- If you need to lose weight, choose a method for fat loss along with using the Yoga Inversion Swing daily for best results.

- It is suggested that children can also benefit from the Yoga Inversion Swing, but an adult should be present to supervise them since it is not a toy.

- The Yoga Inversion Swing should be kept in a safe place out of children's reach when an adult is not present to supervise.

Steps To Get Started Fast:

1. To get started fast you need to get organized first. You would have already made a decision on what you will be hanging from, the ceiling, a doorway, or a free hanging stand. A free hanging stand will be the safest and best way. Set up the free hanging stand or prepare the ceiling with proper instructions and hardware.

2. Do the work of putting together the free hanging stand or set up your other method of suspension properly and make sure it functions properly. A word of caution, make absolutely sure it will support your weight or the heaviest weight in your household of whoever will be using the swing before actually hanging upside down from whichever method you have chosen. If you have chosen the method of the ceiling, the strongest point of the support beam is in the corner of the room.

3. Choose or purchase Yoga clothing that is close fitting and stretchy or clothing you feel comfortable exercising in.

4. Completely read all instructions on how to mount and dismount correctly and then practice until you feel comfortable doing it.

5. Choose a time of day you will and can invert and exercise on a daily basis and stick to it to make it a habit.

6. Choose the easiest exercises to learn and begin implementing them slowly into your exercise routine. Do not do too much too fast as you can and will become sore. Build on your successes and go to more challenging moves only when you have mastered the easier ones.

7. Map out your target areas for exercise to match with each exercise you will be performing. For example, if you need to work on your abs, pick exercises for the core, if you have lots of back pain, focus on inversion, if you need to destress, focus on the exercises that will help with that area.

8. Keep progressing daily so that you will be getting stronger and more healthy each passing day. Do not do too much, you don't want to get injured. You want to elongate your muscles, lose inches, build muscle strength and reshape your body.

Enjoy yourself and watch yourself getting slimmer and more healthy and flexible with a balanced body with each passing day!

Trapeze - How to Hang the Trapeze Unit to Your Yoga Inversion Stand

Take everything out of the box and place on a table.

fleck water softener

You should have:

FLECK

- 1 bar
- 3 springs
- 4 large clamps
- 2 small clamps (6 clamps altogether)

1) Place the bar on the table
2) On the left end of the bar - attach a large clamp to the outer left circle
3) On the right end of the bar - attach a large clamp to the outer right circle
4) In the center half circle of the bar - attach a small clamp to the center bar
5) On the left end of the bar - attach one spring on the clamp
6) On the right end of the bar - attach one spring on the clamp
7) In the center, attach the last spring to the small clamp
8) On the left end - attach a large clamp to the top of the spring
9) On the right end - attach a large clamp to the top of the spring
10) In the center, attach a small clamp to the top of the center spring
11) Attach the center clamp to the swivel hook attached to the top of the Yoga Inversion Stand
12) Attach the left large clamp to the swivel hook next to the center clamp
13) Attach the right large clamp to the swivel hook next to the center clamp

When you are finished, you will notice that the large clamps are attached to the outer ends of the bar and the two smaller clamps are attached to the center portion of the Trapeze unit. This way, when the Trapeze Unit is hanging, everything will hang properly.

At the top swivel attached to the Yoga Inversion Swing, you will have a large clamp, a small clamp and then a large clamp in that order.

Now that you have your Trapeze set up properly, you can now attach your handles to the outer edges of the circular ends of the Trapeze unit. You can attach the swing right next to that or in the center half circle on the bar.

You can also attach your swing to any position provided on the handle section of the unit. You are now ready to fully enjoy your Yoga Inversion Swing System! When I first started using my swing, I didn't have the Trapeze. I wasn't completely satisfied until I had it attached. I am now completely satisfied and happy with my System!

These instructions are my own personal experience putting together and attaching the Trapeze to my Yoga Inversion Stand. I believe that these instructions will help you quickly get your whole Yoga Inversion System set up correctly in the shortest time possible. You are now ready to enjoy your whole new comfortable and springy Yoga Inversion Swing

Yoga Inversion Swing - Third Week Workout - Journal # 3

Hi, my name is Nancy Fleck and I a new owner of the Omni Yoga Inversion Swing System, including the tripod linked in stand, padded swing and trapeze. I have written two journals so far on my journey to getting relief from obesity and all the ailments that comes with it, back pain and in my case (curvature of the lower spine), arthritis pain and stress.

flecktarn parka

Last week I documented my starting body measurements. Below, I have written my new measurements for the week ending May 30, 2010. This is my personal journal of starting my exercise routine with my new Yoga Inversion Swing System and what exercises I have added this week that I have learned to do on my new Yoga Inversion Swing.

FLECK

There are many exercise machines that are good machines, but all of them are limited to what they can and will do for you. Since you can also invert on the Yoga Inversion Swing, I feel that you can get all your needs met with one machine. If you are using the inversion stand versus suspension from the ceiling, you are using space. But, if you are getting everything you need from one machine, you don't need all those other machines that are placed around the house taking up floor space. You won't mind the space your stand takes because it will be the last machine you will need to purchase and you won't need the other machines taking up space in your home.

Also, the possibilities are endless as to what exercises you can perform on the swing. You won't get a chance to get bored on the Yoga Inversion Swing. Also, the bounce you get from the trapeze device, will keep you coming back for more comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing sessions. You are suspended in air, gravity free, so there is no limit to how you can move. You will be able to move your body in a multitude of ways. I have found that the Yoga Inversion Swing System is a superior machine because it also does full back inversion. What other machine does that?

I have been doing three short sessions daily of power walking. I have now needed to add arm weights as the short distances three times a day started to get too easy. By doing this, I can still do the shorter distances, but since I have added 2 1/2 pound weights to my arms, it isn't easy anymore, so I can remain on the same distance, which is great if you are short on time.

Since starting the power walking I have lost a little over 11 pounds. I feel that I have finally gotten my metabolism working again. This, along with using the Yoga Inversion Swing for toning and shaping, I am on my way to becoming healthy and fit.

Also, one other thing I want to tell you about is that when I am on the Yoga Inversion Swing, I sweat a lot. I think it is because I am using a lot of muscles to keep myself steady to do the moves that I am doing on the swing. I believe this swing will help you to lose weight because your body is having to expend energy and move more muscles you wouldn't ordinarily have to use if you were on the floor performing the exercises.

Below I will list my current weight and measurements:

My weight as of May 23, 2010, and next to it, my weight as of May 30, 2010:
202.2 Lbs. 201.3 Lbs.

Neck - 15" 14 3/4"
Chest -48" 47 3/4"
Arms - 14" 14"
Wrist - 7" 6 1/2"
Waist - 42 1/2" 42"
Hips - 43 1/2" 43 1/2"
Thighs -20" 19 1/2"
Calves -16" 16"

I have a significant amount of weight to lose, at least 59 more pounds. I wrote a journal last week, Journal # 2, and told of the exercises I was doing starting out. I have added three more exercise to the list this week -

1) Standing in the circle of the Yoga Inversion Stand, I reach up and grab hold of the trapeze and hang from the bar. I feel a really good stretch in my arms and back. I also spread my legs apart and rest my weight on my legs and feel a very good stretch in the inner thigh.

2) I sit on the swing seat and bring the back of the swing under my arms. I then bend my back, like doing a back bend on the swing and grab hold of my ankles. This is similar to a Bow pose on the floor. This is very similar to that pose only you have the swing supporting your back.

3) I lay down on the floor on my stomach, reach up with both hands and grab hold of the lowest handle grips, arching my back and I bring my head up and back. This pose is something like the Cobra pose done on the floor, only when done on the floor, your arms are on the floor supporting your weight. With the Yoga Inversion Swing, you are hanging from your arms with your back arched and are also getting the stretch through your arms as well as your neck and back.

I know I have a long way to go, but I can see more positive results this week! That is why I am journaling my results, so you can benefit by seeing those results on a weekly basis. You can tell people you are losing weight, you can tell people that you are changing your shape, but I understand that I need to see and other people need to see this happening.

My husband has promised to take my picture on my Yoga Inversion Swing tomorrow night. As soon as it is done, I will post it and you will be able to see me enjoying my swing! You will also be able to see me getting smaller and more shapely as the time passes! I am 61 years old and up to now, have had a very sedentary lifestyle. Remember, if I can do it, you can too!!! What I have learned from getting out of shape and becoming obese is this, "exercise and good nutrition is necessary to living a long and healthy life." One without the other equals failure which equals being fat, sick and tired. But, we are not going to look back anymore, just forward to success!

I do hope this article has helped you in your journey to getting healthy and fit. Come back next week to read Journal # 4, Yoga Inversion Swing.
